Skull Basics
Skulls are optional modifiers hidden across campaign missions. Collecting all 42 unlocks Campaign Remix — a mode that lets you stack Skulls for score multipliers and challenge runs.
Skulls divide into silver (gameplay tweaks) and gold (score multipliers). Some affect co-op only when the host enables them pre-mission. Death in Iron Skull runs resets the level.
- Silver Skulls — change rules (e.g., Fog, Mythic enemies)
- Gold Skulls — multiply score when combined
- Iron — die once, restart mission
- Black Eye — shields only recharge from melee

Each of the 13 missions hides multiple Skulls in classic CE locations plus Campaign Evolved additions. Skulls appear as glowing icons — walk through them to collect permanently on your profile.
Use our missions page skull location tables after launch. Legendary solo runs are the traditional method; co-op partners can split map coverage on open missions like Halo and Silent Cartographer.

Remix Combos
Campaign Remix rewards stacking compatible Skulls. High-score community combos often pair Catch (grenades bounce back), Cloud (no radar), and Assassin (no crosshair) for maximum multiplier with manageable difficulty.
For achievement hunters, separate "score" runs from "Iron" runs — mixing Iron with aggressive multiplier Skulls leads to long restart loops.
